MARY R. NORTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

To encourage women college seniors or first-year graduate students to pursue the study of Physical Metallurgy or Materials Science, with emphasis on the relationship of microstructure and properties. The award was established in 1975 and is administered by Committee E04 on Metallography.

THE AWARD

The award is in the form of a hand-engraved certificate and $500 to be used for educational expenses during the academic year. Notification of the winner will be sent to the student and the school she has chosen on or about August 15th.

Eligibility

-The student must be registered full-time and must expect to be classified as a senior for first-year graduate student during the academic year.

-The student will be chosen on her interest or potential interest in a career in Physical Metallurgy or Materials Science as evidenced by her application statement and faculty recommendation.
