Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards

Website: Soroptimist International of Seattle Metropolitan

Description

The Northwestern Region of Soroptimists annually presents a Fellowship Award to a woman who resides in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska or Northern Idaho, and works towards a post-graduate degree.  The goal of this award is to support women who are working in fields that have great social importance to the world, are under-represented by women, and reflect and further Soroptimist ideals. We believe that Fellowship Award recipients women will become a strong voice for all women.

The Women's Opportunity Awards are education grants for women heads of household to pursue vocational and higher education.  The program targets women who have faced challenges and are the principal financial support for their families.
