Description

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, formerly the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund, is an organization that provides scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic American background. Applicants must be of Mexican-American, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Caribbean, Central or South American parentage.

A variety of scholarships are offered, with varying eligibility requirements and deadlines. Please see the HSF website for complete details.

Eligibility

Graduating High School Seniors

To qualify, you must:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for High School Students 
  • Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited 4-year university 
  • Be a US citizen, permanent resident, DACA, or eligible non-citizen
  • Complete FAFSA or Dream Act (if available)

 

Graduating High School Seniors

To qualify, you must:

  •  Be a graduating high school senior
  •  Be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or valid passport stamped I-551 or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
  •  Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME at a two- or four-year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam, in the upcoming academic year.
