Description
ICMA-RC founded the Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2001 to honor the lives of our Nation's police officers, firefighters, and other local and state government employees who have died in the line of duty.
The Fund provides the surviving spouses and children of these employees who have given so much to their community's financial assistance in education as they move forward with their lives.
Scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 are awarded to students who plan to attend a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or vocational school full-time.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be the child or spouse of local or state government employees who have died in the line of duty;
- attend or plan to attend, school full-time at an accredited two or four year universit, college, or vocational school, or be a high school senior who plans to attend school full time.
