The School of Social Work offers scholarships and fellowships for prospective and continuing undergraduates and graduates in the School of Social Work.

 

In 2026, the School of Social Work launched the Changemaker Scholarship designed to offset the cost of tuition for students entering the program; awards up to $10,000 to students based on need for 2 consecutive years (up to $20,000 total). Prospective students must submit a separate application.

Select scholarships are available to current BASW students to be awarded in their final year. A separate application for School of Social Work departmental scholarships will be sent to all current BASW students in the spring before their final year.

All scholarship application information will be used to guide us in determining a match for potential sources of funding; scholarships will be used to help support the School’s recruitment and retention efforts to ensure diversity within the School’s learning community.

Please complete the FAFSA/WASFA as soon as possible (international students are exempt from this requirement) – this is a requirement for consideration as financial need is often a determining factor for many awards. Should you be selected for an award you will be notified by the School of Social Work Scholarship Committee by email.
