The ISM-Western Washington Scholarship Program is open to undergraduate juniors and above or advanced-degree accredited college students pursuing a career in the field of purchasing, contract management or any other related field supporting the profession of supply management.

There are up to four $1,000 scholarships per year awarded to recipients attending college or university. Candidates shall submit all application documents no later than the 15th day of March. Scholarship winners will be notified in April, prior to the end of the year chapter meeting which normally occurs the 2nd Thursday in May. Scholarship recipients will be invited to the May meeting to be formally recognized.

The following criteria are requirements for consideration as a candidate for the ISM-Western Washington Scholarships:

• 3.0 grade point average or greater. Certified copies of all applicable transcripts shall be sent to the Scholarship Committee

• junior
• senior
• graduate

• US Citizen
• Permanent Resident
• International or Other Visa Status
• Undocumented

Candidates shall submit all application documents no later than the 15th day of March.

• Submission of an ISM-Western Washington Inc. application form along with a no less than a one-page essay summarizing qualifications and rationale on why applicant should be awarded a scholarship. The submitted materials will be reviewed by a panel of at least four current members of ISM-Western Washington.
• Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s character and to his/her adherence to the Principles and Standards of Ethical Supply Management Conduct as listed in the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) guidelines.
• Current member of ISM-Western Washington. Free membership provision is offered to full-time students.
• Scholarship winners must volunteer to participate in an approved service project or committee activity in the same calendar year that the scholarship is awarded.
• Applicants can apply for apply for a scholarship up to two times and can be awarded an ISM-Western Washington scholarship one time only.
