Gross Undergraduate Scholarship

Description
This scholarship is for exceptional undergraduate students interested in studying in Russia or a Russian-speaking country. Priority will be given to undergraduates to travel to Russia to study the Russian language, but funds may also support undergraduate students to travel to Russia to study the country’s history, literature or culture. Upon completion of study a report on the experience will be expected. One award of up to $1500 will be offered toward airfare or lodging.

Open to all undergraduate students in all fields of study.

Procedure
The Gross Fellowship shares a common application with the FLAS Fellowship.
Apply for the Gross Undergraduate Fellowship through the Jackson School Fellowship Application System here.
Application Materials:
- A written proposal, in essay format, of approximately two single-spaced pages detailing your academic plan and how the fellowship fits in with your education and/or career plans
- Official or unofficial transcripts from all colleges or universities attended (in electronic format; no hard copies accepted)
- Letters of recommendation; 1 general and 1 language recommendation.
