College Art Association Professional Development Fellowship Program

Website: CAA

Description

The CAA-GOLDEN Scholarship Program supports artists whose mission it is to give back to their communities through teaching, while nurturing and developing their own talents and capabilities as artists.  Funded by Golden Artist Colors, Inc., CAA will grant two unrestricted scholarships of $8,000 each on an annual basis to artists who are pursuing a career in K-12 education. Grantees will also receive two weeks at the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation Residency Program and $1000 towards GOLDEN products.

CAA's Professional Development Fellowship in Art History supports graduate students and scholars in art, architecture, and design, as well as historians, curators, and critics in these fields who have recently received their PhD, are preparing their dissertation for publication, or are conducting final research to complete their PhD.

The Professional Development Fellowship in Visual Arts supports graduate students who are completing an MFA degree or another terminal degree program to help them with various aspects of their work, whether it be for job-search expenses or purchasing materials for their studio art/design practice.

The Michael Aurbach Fellowship for Excellence in Visual Art will recognize and honor CAA members who have obtained an MFA or equivalent in studio art and are currently teaching studio classes full-time or part-time. On an annual basis, CAA will grant a $7,500 award and registration to the CAA Annual Conference to a qualified artist member teaching at an American or international university/community college.
