During a teaching fellowship year, the recent college graduate (bachelor's or master's level) is introduced to a professional career through a program of guided classroom work, professional seminars, and exposure to the theories and methods of experienced faculty. 

 

Eligibility
The fellow teaches two sections of a departmental offering, assists the house counselor in a dormitory and assists in coaching two out of three terms. Teaching Fellows are not normally reappointed to the faculty.
*International students may be eligible for this fellowship*
Fields open to teaching fellows vary from year to year and may include art, English, mathematics, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Russian, biology, chemistry, physics, music, history, philosophy, and religion. Teaching fellows receive a stipend of $35,000 plus medical insurance, life insurance, and a contribution to dental insurance. Housing in a dormitory or faculty apartment and meals in the school dining hall are provided. After a year of experience at Andover, teaching fellows may apply for an additional year as a second-year fellow.
