Awarding of funds is based upon a combination of the applicant’s financial need, scholastic abilities, and community/civic involvement. Applicants must:

1. Come from a household with a pre-September 11th adjusted gross income of less than $125,000.
2. have a current cumulative GPA of 2.50 or equivalent.

Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in an objective, non-discriminatory manner.

Needham & Company established the Needham September 11th Scholarship Fund shortly after the tragedy. Designed to benefit the children and dependents of the victims who lost their lives, the purpose of the fund is to ensure that the victims’ children are provided with an opportunity for a private secondary and/or college-level education.
