Description
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to undergraduate students who are survivors of domestic violence or are the children of domestic violence survivors.
The application will be reviewed through a holistic lens, taking academic achievement, financial need, and passion for one’s intellectual and community growth into account.
Candidate for the scholarship must also provide some form of independent and verifiable documentation supporting that they are a survivor of domestic violence or the child of such survivor(s). The Women's Center understands documentation may vary depending on individual circumstances -- examples include, but are not limited to statement/confirmation from counselor, teacher, healthcare provider, caseworker, and/or police or court records.
Eligibility
Must be entering into or currently enrolled as an undergraduate at the University of Washington
Must be a survivor of domestic violence, or the child of a survivor
Must be committed to furthering intellectual and community growth
Must be in good academic standing
