AWAM’s Scholarship Program supports the diverse skills required in the field of Aviation Maintenance & Technology. AWAM began its scholarship program in 2002 with four scholarships awarded to eight recipients.

In 2017, AWAM awarded over $185,000 in scholarships. With the assistance of our incredible sponsors, this program continues to grow to support our industry and the needs of the future. Scholarship opportunities are not only for initial students or women. Many are for those already working in the field, transitioning from the military, and for men as well.

Applicants must be a member of AWAM in order to apply.

Some scholarships are only open to female applicants. This will be specified in the Requirements section after each
scholarship description

Procedure

Application Limits

Our scholarships are split into two categories.
You may apply for up to 2 Category I scholarships.
You may apply for up to 3 Category II scholarships.
In total, you can apply for up to 5 scholarships between the two categories.

History

AWAM began its scholarship program in 2002 with four scholarships awarded to eight recipients. In 2013, AWAM awarded $120,000 in scholarships to 30 females and 6 males. With the assistance of our incredible sponsors, this program continues to grow to support our industry and the needs of the future.

This year, AWAM awarded over $1450,000 in scholarships to 24 females and 12 males. With the assistance of our incredible sponsors, this program continues to grow to support our industry and the needs of the future. Unique scholarship opportunities are not just for initial students or just for females. Many are for those already working in the field, transitioning from the military, and for guys as well.
