Army ROTC Scholarships

Description
UW Army ROTC offers two to four year scholarship options for students eligible to pursue a commission as an officer. Scholarships are merit-based and are awarded to those who excel academically, are physically fit, and possess outstanding leadership potential.
A student can apply for a full tuition (no cap) or room and board scholarship (up to $10,000 a year) to UW. Additionally, cadets receive a monthly stipend of $420 a month ($3780 per year) and a quarterly book allowance of $400.
Eligibility
These are the minimum eligibility requirements to apply:
- Be between the ages of 17 and 30
- Be a US Citizen
- Be of high moral character
- Be medically qualified
- Meet physical fitness standards
- Have a minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA
- Be enrolled as a full time student at UW (Seattle or Bothell)
- Be an academic Freshman or Sophomore
- Be enrolled in a Military Science 100 or 200 level course

Service Agreement
Scholarship winners must serve for four years either on active duty or in the US Army Reserves or Army National Guard. All who graduate and complete ROTC training are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the US Army.
